Joseph Thomas joined the IU Indianapolis men's soccer staff in July 2024 as the program's Director of Operations and was elevated to Assistant Coach in January 2025. In this integral role, he'll provide administrative and operational support to the coaching staff, assisting in all facets of the program.Â
Thomas, an Indianapolis-native, was most recently a McLendon Foundation Initiative fellow in the Horizon League office, focused on communication and messaging. He previously interned with the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) in 2023 while completing his undergraduate work at Ball State, earning his degree in PR/Sports Marketing.Â
While at Ball State, Thomas served as the women's club soccer head coach in 2021 and 2022 and later was head coach of the men's club soccer team in 2022.Â
