    Goalkeepers Coach
Longtime professional goalkeeper Jon Busch is in his first season with the IUPUI coaching staff as the Jaguars' Goalkeepers Coach. Busch played 21 years, primarily in Major League Soccer (MLS), for the Columbus Crew, Chicago Fire and San Jose Earthquakes. He was the 2008 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year and ranks fourth in MLS history in career shutouts. 

He also represented the United States at both the youth and senior level. He capped his career by playing two seasons with the Indy Eleven, making 59 appearances in an Eleven uniform. 

He signed a one-day deal with Columbus Crew SC in May 2018 to officially end his professional playing career. 

Busch, a New York-native, was a high school All-American before attending UNC Charlotte. He was an NSCAA First Team All-American and helped the program to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA College Cup and a school record 19 wins. He was also named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and was a three-time first team all-conference honoree. 

After playing in the A-League for four seasons, Busch was chosen with the 23rd overall pick of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. He moved into a starting role by the 2003 season and broke out in 2004, helping Columbus to an MLS record 18-game undefeated streak as he was a finalist for 2004 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. 

His lone international cap came on March 9, 2005 when he shutout Columbia in a friendly. 

Busch runs High Performance Goalkeeping (www.hpgoalkeeping.com) and coaches and instructs at numerous camps and clinics.
