Eric Weigman

Former IUPUI standout Eric Weigman will serve as a Student Assistant Coach on Steve Franklin’s staff during the 2010 season. Weigman capped off a phenomenal four-year career in 2009 and is pursuing his degree in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business.

Weigman finished his four years ranked among IUPUI’s top 10 all-time in points (41) and goals (15), while also ranking among the leaders in matches played and started. He became the first men’s soccer student-athlete in school history to earn three First Team Academic All-District honors and was later pegged Second Team Lowe’s Senior CLASS All-America in 2009.

He was later honored with the top two senior student-athlete awards in the spring of 2010, earning the Melvyn Garland Distinguished Student-Athlete Award for his athletic prowess and the Jaguars Athletics Club Academic Achievement Award for his academic success.

The Appleton, Wisc.-native was on IUPUI’s Academic Advisor’s List all eight semesters of his playing career and was a four-time Academic All-League pick. He was named to The Summit League’s Commissioner’s List for Academic Excellence in each of his final three seasons.
