2012-13 - Senior: Earned Second Team All-Summit League honors by virtue of his ninth-place finish at the league championship meet... voted Academic All-Summit League by the nine faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors... earned the team's Senior Leadership and Mental Attitude Awards... team tri-captain... ran in all six of the team's meets, running among the top four on all six occasions... was the Jaguars' top finisher at The Summit League Championships, crossing in a time of 25:59.3... also earned a top 10 finish at the Oct. 13 Evansville Invitational with a time of 25:47.66, registering the 15th fastest time in The Summit League this season... closed his cross country career with a 33:15 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet on Nov. 9... honored among IUPUI's Top 100 students... chosen to The Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence... picked to The Summit League's Fall Academic Honor Roll... named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List (3.0 GPA or better) both semesters.

2011-12 - Junior: Named Team MVP and co-recipient of the Captains Award... was among IUPUI's top runners in the final six meets of the fall, including finishing as IUPUI's top runner on two different occasions... ran a season-best 25:11.67 8K at the EIU Walt Crawford Open on Sept. 9, tying for the ninth-fastest time in school history (his third-quickest race ever)... led IUPUI to the finish line at both the Notre Dame Invitational (Sept. 30) and The Summit League Championships (Oct. 29), marking the first two times in his career he led the team to the finish line... ran a personal record 10K time at the season ending NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet on Nov. 12, crossing in a time of 32:29.3 in Toledo, Ohio... elected as one of two SAAC Community Service Officers during the previous spring... was recognized among IUPUI's Top 100 students during the spring... Academic All-Summit League honoree... chosen to The Summit League Commissioner's List for Academic Excellence... named to IUPUI's Academic Advisor's List both semesters.  

2010-11 - Sophomore: Ran in all seven meets and was IUPUI's No. 2 runner six different times... earned Second Team All-Summit League honors with 13th place finish at the championship meet at Northview Christian Church in Carmel on Oct. 30... finished that race in a time of 25:22.9... named IUPUI's Most Improved Runner at the year end banquet... ran a personal record 8K time of 24:52.40 at the UE Invitational on Oct. 16, marking the third quickest time in school history... earlier became just the second runner in school history to eclipse the 25-minute mark in the 8K with a 24:59.81 finish at the IPFW Invitational on Sept. 11... notched a personal record 32:35.69 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet on Nov. 13, marking the fourth fastest time in school history... was an Academic All-Summit League honoree... earned a spot on The Summit League's Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence... named to the Academic Advisor's List following both semesters.

2009-10 - Freshman: Picked as the team's Top Newcomer as a freshman... ran in all seven meets, finishing among IUPUI's top five five different times... was among IUPUI's top three in the final four meets of the season... ran his quickest 8K of the season at the Notre Dame Invitational on Oct. 2, posting a time of 26:01... notched a time of 34:26.18 in his first collegiate 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet on Nov. 14... named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List both semesters... named to the Fall Academic All-Summit League team.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track and field at Carmel High School... helped the Greyhounds to four top five finishes at the IHSAA State Meet, including a team title in 2008... CHS totaled three sectional and regional titles, one semistate title, and back-to-back Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) titles during Smith's career... the 'Hounds also captured three Hamilton County titles during his four seasons... was an All-State performer as a senior after finishing 15th at the state meet in a time of 15:57.40... also named Honorable Mention Academic All-State and was a two-time Honorable Mention All-State honoree... was a three-time All-Sectional, two-time All-Regional and an All-Semistate performer as a senior... two-time All-County and an All-MIC honoree his senior year... helped the track team to four straight Hamilton County and sectional crowns, as well as two regional crowns... was All-State in the 4x800 and All-Sectional in the 1600m... was All-MIC his junior year and two-time All-County honoree… was a member of the state champion 4x800 relay team at the Hoosier State Relays on the indoor track and was later the 2009 DMR champion... participant on the 4x800 team that won IHSAA sectional, regional, and state titles his senior year… also named Honorable Mention Academic All-State… co-captain of both the cross-country and track teams during his senior year… was a two-time USATF All-American in the javelin and two-time Indiana USATF Youth Athlete of the Year... academically, was a member of the National Honor Society for two years.
