High School: Earned varsity letters in basketball and cross country... named to the McDonald's All-American honorable mention team... second-team all-state selection as a senior... made 31 starts and played in 32 contests... helped lead team to a 27-5 record... scored 282 points (8.8 ppg), grabbed a team-leading 442 rebounds (13.8 rpg), made 13 steals and 18 dunks... selected to the Chicago Prep All-Conference first team... as a senior won the Scholar Athlete Award in basketball... named to the 'B' honor roll in 1996-98... teammate Patrick Cunningham also a freshman at IUPUI... high school coach was Billy Garrett.
