Willie Veasley

Former Butler men's basketball standout Willie Veasley joined the IUPUI basketball staff at the start of the 2012-13 season as Video Coordinator.

Veasley was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs and was a part of a school record 118 wins. He was also the first player in school history to see action in four consecutive NCAA tournaments, leading the Bulldogs to a national runner-up finish his senior season. He was picked to the 2009-10 Horizon League All-Defensive and All-Tournament Team and was also chosen to Seth Davis' 11th Annual All-Glue Team. The Freeport, Ill.-native finished his college career with 877 points and 476 rebounds while starting 69 times in 134 career contests.

Following his graduation in 2010, Veasley opted to play professionally for Niigata Albirex in the BJ league in Japan. While with Niigata, he averaged 11.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game and hit better than 39 percent from three-point range. He helped his squad to to the Japanese BJ League Eastern Division finals.

He was later drafted in the fifth round of the 2011 NBDL Draft by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, but was ultimately waived due to injury.
