Reese McGinsie joined the IU Indy basketball staff in April 2024, following head coach Paul Corsaro from UIndy. McGinsie, an Indianapolis-native, was a graduate assistant at UIndy the prior two seasons, helping the Greyhounds to an incredible two-year stint.Â
The Greyhounds returned to the national spotlight in McGinsie's first season, as the program climbed as high as No. 4 in the NABC national poll. UIndy hosted its first NCAA DII Midwest Regional since 1997 as the top seed, while the Greyhounds matched program records in total wins (26) and winning streak (18). In addition, the team won its first GLVC regular season title since 1997. They followed that up with a 23-9 season in 2023-24 and a second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.Â
A graduate of Roncalli High School, McGinsie played collegiately at Trine University in Angola, Ind., making 33 appearances for the Thunder.
