Alex Csiernik

Alex Martin Csiernik

Alexandra (Martin) Csiernik was named the Jaguars' head coach in March 2022 and originally joined the program as an assistant coach in November 2019. Csiernik is also a founder, director and head coach of the Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center (JPAC) Radiance All Stars.

With JPAC Radiance, she helped her squad to the a Cheerleading Worlds Bronze Medal finish in the International Open 7 division in 2021. In 2022, she had two teams earn U.S. Finals Golden Tickets. 

With the Jaguars, she was part of the staff that helped IUPUI to the 2020 UCA College Nationals Finals and the program's first-ever appearance in the College Game Day Competition. 

Csiernik helped Hamilton Southeastern High School win the 2019 Indiana State Cheerleading Championship in the Varsity A Division and was choreographer for New Palestine's Junior High State runner-up squad in 2021. 
 
Csiernik’s background in college cheerleading as an athlete includes four years on the Indiana University Crimson All-Girl squad who won UCA College National Championship titles in 2012 and 2013 in the All-Girl D1A Division. She then went on to coach this team to national titles in 2014 and 2016. She is a returning staffer for Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and travels the Midwest region instructing cheerleading camps.
 
Csiernik earned her B.S. in Secondary Education from Indiana University and her Masters in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Lamar University. She previously taught English for eight years before becoming a full time director and head coach in 2021.
