Q: Congrats on reaching 1,000 career points. Do you have any major memories or favorite moments from your total points?
FW: "Honestly, just my first bucket because I was just so nervous to play my first college game. I still remember the offensive rebound and a left-handed touch shot. That was at West Lib. It was 2022, so my freshman year.”
Q: In today’s first half there were multiple mistakes in terms of turnovers and poor passing. What was the cause and what are the results you were expecting?
FW: "I think it was just a slow start to the game, I mean, we know the game plan. The last time we played them we beat them by 20. I think we had a really good game plan, but Oakland has a really good coach. They're gonna adjust, and I think they took away what worked for us in the first game. It took us awhile to figure out, not only how to score on them, but then just defensively, we were just behind the whole game.”
Q: What needs to happen going forward?
FW: "I think it's just coming out with more effort and then finishing the season off the right way. I think our preparation has been good, and I think that's one of the things the coaches said about us is even though the season hasn't gone how we planned, we haven't given up on the season. We’re still giving our 100 percent every day.”

Q: What was your approach to finding your shot versus setting up your teammates?
KD: "I try to go with the momentum and let it happen, try to do what we work on, the actions, find the open space and if the shots are there, take it. If not, pass it to the next open guy.”
Q: On offense, what do you look for on the floor the most and the least?
KD: "In this game we were just trying to get the ball in the middle, which worked for us last time. They kind of took that away, so we tried to get the ball more in the dunker spot and attack from there and cut off that. We try to lean towards doing that more as the game goes on. Then just try to play from there, not try to force too much and just play out of that.”
Q: You're going to be a senior next year. What are you willing to sacrifice to become a better player, on and off the court?
KD: "Honestly, whatever it takes. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to win, whatever Coach needs me to do, whatever the team needs me to do. I'm willing to do that. Winning is the ultimate goal. That's what I want to do.”
Q: What are your initial thoughts on tonight's game?
KD: "They came out with more energy than we did and kind of punched us in the mouth at the beginning of the game. We got off to a bad start. I feel like once we matched energy, we started playing with them a little bit. Then they just started stringing together more stuff than we did late in the game. They kind of flew away with it.”
