Cheerleading Tryout Process
Good afternoon,
I wanted to provide an update on the IUPUI Cheerleading tryout process for the 2020-2021 season. We are very excited to get started, but only when it is safe for us to do so. To provide the most equitable experience possible, we are going to wait until we have been cleared for large gatherings and then host an in-person skills evaluation. We do not feel a virtual tryout will capture everyone's potential and we know you've worked very hard to this point. In terms of future dates, we plan on keeping all the practice weekends reserved and will host tryouts the Friday evening of the first dates we are cleared. Example: if we are ready to go in May, tryouts will be May 22. Not cleared until June, tryouts would be June 12, and so on... These dates can all be found in the handbook near the end. Paperwork will be due the Monday prior to the new scheduled tryout date.
