2012-13 - Redshirt: Practiced with the team, but did not compete in any meets... named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List (3.0 GPA or better) both semesters.
High School: Earned seven varsity letters in track and cross country at Highland High School... placed 38th at the IHSAA State Cross Country Meet as a senior in 2012, finishing in a time of 16:15.5... bettered his junior year mark by 13 seconds and 16 spots... ran a season-best 5K time of 16:00.5 at the New Prairie Invitational and won three races including the Hammond Gavit Sectional and Northwest Crossroads Conference meets... won the NCC meet and ran a personal best time of 15:51 at the Highland Invite as a junior... missed his entire junior season in track due to injury, but rebounded by winning the NCC titles in both the 1,600m (4:26.31) and 3,200m (9:41.44) as a senior... qualified for regionals in both events after winning both at sectionals, but fell short of state qualifications in 2012... graduated with better than a 4.0 grade point average.
