INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis women's soccer team will continue its three-game homestand this week when the Jaguars host Wright State (Sept. 24) and Northern Kentucky (Sept. 27) this week. Thursday's contest with WSU will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. while Sunday's matchup with NKU kicks at 1:00 p.m. 

The Jaguars opened Horizon League play with a 3-2 loss to league favorite Milwaukee on Saturday, despite getting a pair of goals from junior Keilah Muldrow. The Jags led 1-0 and 2-1 but yielded two unanswered tallies in the 3-2 defeat. Muldrow upped her scoring total to a team-high four goals while junior Annaliese Black now has two goals and a team-high four assists. Black and rookie Madeline Chappa have attempted a team-high 18 shots apiece from their midfield spots. Collectively, the Jaguars rank second in the Horizon League in goals (15) and shot attempts (127) while Muldrow's four goals tie her for second in the league. Black's four assists are currently tied for the team lead while the trio of Lindsey Castillo, Caroline Kelley and Maci Sammons are tied for fourth in the league with three assists each. 

In goal, sophomore Gwen Eiler has emerged as the team's top option, having made four starts with a 4.00 goals against average and 17 saves. Behind her, Isabel Oferosky has a 1.71 goals against average and made three starts in net. 

Defensively, junior Bethany Hartigan leads the team with 760 minutes on the back line while Chappa is second on the team with 704 minutes.

"We had great effort. We put together a good 80 minutes, had a lapse, but that's something that's correctable. Knowing that Milwaukee is a standard bearer in the Horizon League for how many years now, we went head-to-head, toe-to-toe. We were right there with them, neck and neck. (I'm) proud of their effort and knowing that everything that we did in the non-conference schedule prepared us for this," head coach Angela Berry White said following the 3-2 loss to Milwaukee.  

SCOUTING WRIGHT STATE
Wright State is 3-5-1 overall and 1-0 in Horizon League play after a 1-0 win over Robert Morris. Caitlin Burger has a team-high four goals and Olivia Stroud leads the Raiders with three assists. In goal, Leigha Lauer has played the bulk of the team's minutes with a 2.30 goals against average with 48 saves and a .716 save percentage. The Raiders have been outscored 20-14 on the season and been outshot by nearly seven shots per game. 

SCOUTING NORTHERN KENTUCKY
NKU is 4-3-1 overall, but 0-1 in Horizon League play after falling 2-1 to Youngstown State to open league play. The Norse have outscored opponents by a 21-11 margin on the season, paced by Megan Molner's six goals. Erykah Cornett and Emma Gianino have a team-high four assists as NKU has racked up 23 assists on the year. Goalkeeper Donna Bundy has started seven of the team's eight matches and recorded a 1.29 goals against average with 13 saves.

The Jaguars will hit the road for three straight road matches, including trips to Cleveland State (Oct. 1) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Oct. 4) next week. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
