JAGUARS TO TURN BACK THE CLOCK AGAINST DETROIT MERCY ON SATURDAY

IU Indy to wear Retro Metro jerseys for the first time this season

1/17/2026 8:00:00 AM

INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis men's basketball program will turn back the clock and rock the former Retro Metro jerseys on Saturday (Jan. 17) when the Jaguars host Detroit Mercy (7-10, 4-4 HL) inside the Jungle at 2:00 p.m. The Jaguars are fresh off a 96-93 overtime win over Robert Morris, fueled by a combined 53 points from Kyler D'Augustino and Jaxon Edwards

The Jaguars needed every bit of the monster nights from D'Augustino and Edwards, including a short deuce from the former on the final possession of regulation to send the game to overtime. The Jaguars never trailed in overtime, getting a three from Aiden Miller on the opening possession to take an early advantage they'd never relinquish.

D'Augustino finished with 28 points and six assists and Edwards contributed a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Micah Davis finished with 13 points, including a punctuation dunk in the final seconds, and Miller finished with 12 points, all from beyond the arc. The win snapped a six-game skid and a five-game losing streak to Robert Morris.

IU Indy enters Saturday's game seeking to avenge an earlier loss to the Titans back on Dec. 3. Edwards, Maguire Mitchell and Kameron Tinsley each scored a team-high 14 points in that contest and D'Augustino finished with 11 points. The Jaguars shot just 42 percent overall and 11-of-35 (31.4 percent) from three-point range in that contest.
