INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis men's basketball program announced a fourth addition and the first transfer in this year's recruiting class as Micah Davis (Greenwood, Ind. / Franklin Community HS) signed to join head coach Paul Corsaro's squad. Davis, a 6-foot-2 guard, played this past season at Eastern Kentucky and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

"We're excited to bring Micah back home. He was one of the top players in the state at Franklin and is going to come in and compete for minutes from day one," Corsaro said. "He shoots it really well and scores at all three levels. He plays bigger than his size and we think he's going to be a really good defender as well. Definitely excited to continue to get some of the best players from the Indianapolis-area in our program."

Davis was one of six finalists for the 2024 Indiana Mr. Basketball Award after averaging 25.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as a senior at Franklin Community High School. He helped Franklin to an 18-5 record in 2024 and a sectional championship. He closed his high school career with 1,296 points, including setting a Franklin record with 43 points in a game. He was a two-time all-state honoree and was named to the prestigious Indiana All-Star Team following his senior campaign. He was a core member of the Junior All-Star team the previous season after averaging 17.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game his junior year.

He played with the Indy Heat on the summer circuit.

This past season, he made 13 appearances off the bench at EKU as the Colonels finished the season at 18-14 overall, totaling 11 points, four rebounds and four assists in 54 minutes.

Davis comes from impressive bloodlines as his older brother Isaiah played at the College of DuPage and cousins Jayden Taylor (NC State), Raphael Davis (Purdue) and Ricky Davis (Indiana) all played collegiately.

Davis becomes the fourth IU Indy men's basketball addition for next season, joining high school signees Maguire Mitchell, Austin Sperry and Gabe Stewart.
