INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis women's basketball team is set to host the Anderson University Ravens on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 1:00 P.M. The Jaguars are currently 2-4 overall. Anderson is coming into the Jungle 1-3 overall.
IU Indy is coming off of a 70-81 loss against Marshall University on Nov. 23. Marshall came out strong forcing turnovers and scoring 12 fast-break points in the first quarter.
Nevaeh Foster the team with 19 points.
Olivia Smith followed with 13 points and
Hailey Smith with 12. In the second half, the Jags outscored Marshall 44-41, however could not overcome Marshall's early scoring.
The Ravens are coming off of an 86-65 victory against Principia. They will also play against the St. Mary's Belles Nov. 25. Junior Victoria Detraz contributed 16 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and one block. Senior Sydney Sierota led the team in points, scoring 17. She also had six rebounds, five assists and five steal. Anderson outrebounded Principia 56-47.
The Jaguars and the Ravens have gone head-to-head six times, the most recent the Jags won 79-59 on Jan. 23, 1986. IU Indy currently holds a winning streak of six games against the Ravens, with hopes of pushing it to seven after this week.
Wednesday's game will be aired on ESPN+. Tip-off is set for 1:00 P.M inside the Jungle.
