JAGS TO CLOSE ROAD TRIP AT AIR FORCE

IU Indy (2-5) to face host Air Force (2-4) at the Air Force Classic on Sunday (Nov. 23)

11/22/2025 10:26:00 AM

USAFA, Colo. - The IU Indianapolis men's basketball team will cap its two city, three-game road trip on Sunday (Nov. 23) when the Jaguars take on Air Force (2-4) in the final game of this year's Air Force Classic inside Clune Arena. The game will also conclude a stretch of four straight contests away from home, beginning with last week's road victory at Eastern Michigan.

Head coach Ben Howlett's team looks to snap a modest two-game skid on Sunday following Friday's 101-80 loss to Alabama State in the opening round of the Air Force Classic. Sophomore JP Dragas led the way with 20 points, including six treys, and fellow sophomore Kameron Tinsley added 15 points, including hitting 4-of-4 from deep. A third sophomore, Aiden Miller, contributed 11 points off the bench, and the Jaguars connected on a season-high 18 threes in 44 attempts. However, Alabama State shot 58 percent overall and outscored the Jaguars 20-4 at the free throw line in the victory.

The Jaguars continue to rank among the nation's elite in assists and steals, ranking sixth in the country in both categories. The System has the Jaguars topping the nation in field goal attempts and rated as the nation's fastest pace according to KenPom.com. Sophomore Kyler D'Augustino, who tallied his 1,000th collegiate point in Friday's game, and fifth-year Matt Compas lead the team in scoring at 14.7 points per game and freshman Maguire Mitchell chimes in at 11.6 points per game with a team-high 20 threes. Senior Finley Woodward is averaging 9.6 points, and a team-high 5.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

SCOUTING AIR FORCE
Air Force started the season 0-4, but has since collected back-to-back wins over Alabama State and SIUE. Four Air Force players are scoring better than 10 points per game, paced by Eli Robinson (11.8 ppg) and Kam Sanders (11.0 ppg). The 6-foot-6 Robinson also tops the team in rebounding at 6.8 caroms per game while Sanders, a 6-foot-3 guard, has a team-high 23 assists.

Sunday's game marks the first-ever meeting between IU Indy and Alabama State on the hardwood.
