INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis Athletics Department has partnered with WISH-TV to broadcast three men's basketball games on WNDY during the upcoming 2025-26 season. The three broadcasts will continue to amplify the IU Indy basketball brand in Central Indiana as Greg Rakestraw (pxp) and Hall of Famer Bob Lovell (analyst) will be on the call for the three contests.
"We are excited to partner with WISH-TV and WNDY to broadcast IU Indianapolis basketball. From the moment I stepped on campus, I've said that we want to win in three places: the classroom, the community, and in competition," Director of Athletics
Luke Bosso said. "This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to be showcased throughout the Indianapolis community. By partnering with WISH-TV, our basketball players will soon become household names."
The three WNDY broadcasts will be the Nov. 11 'Read to the Final Four' game against IU Columbus, along with Horizon League matchups with Green Bay (Dec. 11) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 25).Â
The Nov. 11 game with IU Columbus is an annual partnership with the NCAAÂ and will presented by Anthem this season as more than 5,000 elementary school students from across Central Indiana are expected in attendance.
"WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23 continue to lead the market in local sports coverage," said DuJuan McCoy, owner, president, and CEO of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23. "We have more sports on our stations than anyone else in Indianapolis and bringing IU Indy basketball back to local television for the first time in nearly a decade is another great example of our commitment to serving Hoosier sports fans."
IU Indy last broadcast games locally during the 2015-2016 season.Â
