JAGUARS WILL TRAVEL NORTH TO FACE OFF AGAINST OAKLAND

IU Indy (3-11-2) faces off against Oakland (3-7-6)

ROCHESTER Mich. - The IU Indy women's soccer team will trek north on Saturday (Oct. 25) to take on Oakland University at 3:00 p.m. on ESPN+ 

The Jaguars came up short on the road at Green Bay this past weekend, falling 1-0 after yielding a penalty kick in the early stages of the game. The Phoenix got the game's only goal when an IU Indy defender was called for a handball inside the box in the ninth minute, leading to a successful penalty kick. Green Bay outshot IU Indy (8-5) and had the advantage in corner kicks as well, 8-2. Senior Emma Frey and junior Caroline Kelley each had a team high of two shots and Frey had one shot on goal. 

Through 16 games, sophomore Keilah Muldrow leads the team in goals (3) and points (8). Three other Jaguars have totaled four points as Sarah Henson, Lilly Ma and Caroline Kelley are tied for second on the team. Kelley has a team-high four assists from her forward position and ranks second in the Horizon League with 45 shot attempts. 

SCOUTING OAKLAND
The Golden Grizzlies are 3-7-6 overall and 2-2-4 in Horizon League play. The Golden Grizzlies enter this week ranked No. 6 in the Horizon League with 10 points and just two losses in league play. 

Brae Cole leads Oakland with 12 points and also leads the team with six goals, sitting tied for third in the league in tallies. Behind Cole, Mallory Anderson has six points and three goals. In net for the Golden Grizzlies, Maryn Weiger has registered 47 saves and has a save percentage of .701.     

INSIDE THE SERIES

The Jags are 5-20-1 all-time against the Golden Grizzlies, and last year's match resulted in a 3-0 victory for IU Indy.

The Jaguars will host their last game at home against Purdue Fort Wayne inside Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Wednesday (Oct. 29) at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be available online or at the doors and will also be live-streamed on ESPN+.
