INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI women's tennis team returned to Indianapolis to host Chicago State on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-1. Freshman
Chloe Bailey earned the sole point for the Jags in the number one singles match.
The Jags forfeited the number three doubles match followed by
Gabbie Orlando and
Elle Kotre falling in the number two doubles spot, 6-4, giving the Cougars the early advantage.
After falling in the doubles point, the Jags recorded just one singles point. Bailey earned the number one singles point in two sets, 7-5, 6-3.
Kotre fell in the number two spot, 6-2, 6-0 while
Emma Dell dropped the number three match in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0. Orlando fell in the number four spot, 6-1, 6-3 and
Sofia Castillo dropped the number five singles match, 6-1, 6-2. Due to low numbers due to injury, the Jags once again had to forfeit the number six singles match.
IUPUI will next host Milwaukee on Sunday, April 20 to wrap up the regular season.
