CLEVELAND – The IUPUI women's tennis team fell to the Cleveland State Vikings on Saturday, 7-0. The Jags, still shorthanded were forced to forfeit the number six singles match.
IUPUI fell in doubles play, giving the Vikings a 1-0 lead.
Chloe Bailey and
Elle Kotre dropped the number one doubles match, 6-2. Due to the Jags having to forfeit the number three doubles match, the Vikings took the doubles point.
Bailey fell in the number one singles match, 6-4, 6-1, while
Emma Dell lost in the number two spot, 6-2, 6-0. Kotre fell in the number three singles match, 6-3, 6-3, while
Gabbie Orlando dropped the number four match, 6-2, 6-3.
Sofia Castillo rounded out the lineup in the number five spot where she fell, 6-0, 6-0.
The Jaguars will next face Youngstown State on Sunday, April 14. The IUPUI women's tennis team and the Penguins are set for a 3:00 PM first serve.
