CINCINNATI – The IUPUI women's tennis team fell to Northern Kentucky on Saturday, snapping their five-match win streak, 4-3. Three Jags earned singles points in the loss.
IUPUI still down numbers due to injury added
Jordyn Pax, a member of the Jaguar volleyball team, to the roster this past week to help fill the sixth position.
The Jags and Norse started with doubles play. The Norse took two of the three matches earning the doubles points.
Gabbie Orlando and
Sofia Castillo fell in the number three spot, 6-4 while
Emma Dell and Pax lost in the number two spot, 6-4.
In singles play, Dell,
Elle Kotre and Pax all earned points. Dell won the number two match, 6-4, 7-5 while Kotre won the number three match in three sets, 1-6, 7-5, 1-0. Pax, in her first singles match with IUPUI, won the number six singles point, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0.
Chloe Bailey fell in the number one spot, 6-2, 6-4 while Orlando lost in the number four spot, 6-1, 6-2. Castillo rounded out the lineup in the fifth spot where she fell, 6-0, 6-0.
The Jags will net host Oakland on Sunday, April 7. The Golden Grizzles will be in Indy for a 11:00 AM first serve.
