INDIANAPOLIS – With just five players, the IUPUI women's tennis team fell to Dayton on Saturday evening, 4-0.
 
The Jags were already at a disadvantage with just five players. They forfeited the number three doubles match then Emma Dell and Gabbie Orlando fell in the number two doubles spot. Chloe Bailey and Grace Lampman played at the number one doubles spot, but their match went unfinished.
 
With Dayton sealing the doubles point, the Jags also had to forfeit the number six singles spot, falling behind 2-0. Sofia Castillo lost in the number five singles spot, 6-1, 6-0 and Bailey fell in the number one singles spot, 6-0, 6-4. With the two played out singles matches, Dayton sealed the 4-0 win.
 
Dell, Lampman and Orlando all had singles matches go unfinished.
 
The IUPUI women's tennis team will next travel to Rose-Hulman for a double-header on February 10.
