ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The IU Indianapolis men's basketball team will hit the road for a non-conference game on Saturday as the Jaguars (5-7) take on Lindenwood (4-6) at 4:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+. The Jaguars look to snap a two-game skid as head coach
Paul Corsaro's team comes in having dropped back-to-back two-point decisions. Against Northern Kentucky, the Jaguars were tripped at the buzzer on a goaltending call and at Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday, misfired on a potential game-tying layup on their final offensive possession.
Junior
Sean Craig had a monster game with a career-high 25 points (8-14 FG, 6-10 3's, 3-3 FT) and 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.
Paul Zilinskas, who enters play ranked fourth in the country with 39 made threes, pumped in 20 points and
Jarvis Walker tallied 17 points, all after halftime. The Jags nearly overcame an 11-point deficit in the final two minutes, earning an opportunity to tie or take the lead with under 10 seconds to play before coming up empty.
The Jaguars are looking to avenge last year's home loss to Lindenwood in the home-and-home series.
QUOTABLE
"I liked the fight from our team. We're still learning how to finish out games. Tonight, we did everything we could to get back into the game and give ourselves a chance. We did a great job of getting a (defensive) stop on their last possession to give ourselves a chance to win it. That's all you can ask for on the road," Corsaro said following Wednesday's loss at Purdue Fort Wayne.
SCOUTING LINDENWOOD
Lindenwood is 4-6 overall on the season and 3-0 on its home court this year. For the year, Lindenwood is averaging nearly 74 points per game and shooting 45 percent from the floor. Jadis Jones (11.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg) leads the team in scoring and rebounding and is joined in double-figures by Anias Futrell (11.1 ppg) and Markeith Browning II (10.8 ppg, 3.8 apg).
SERIES HISTORY
Lindenwood owns a win in the lone meeting between the two schools, having defeated the Jaguars 73-67 on Dec. 16 last season.
