11/7/2024 6:15:00 PM

CINCINNATI - The IU Indianapolis men's basketball team will hit the road for the first time this season, traveling down I-74 to face Xavier University on FS1 on Friday night (Nov. 8). Tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. inside Cintas Center.

The Jaguars (1-0) opened the Paul Corsaro-era with a 100-44 thumping of IU Columbus inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Monday in front of 3,716 fans. Junior Sean Craig had 16 points and 11 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double and true freshman Keenan Garner made his collegiate debut with 11 points and 13 rebounds. The Jaguars imposed their will on the smaller Crimson Pride, outrebounding the opposition by a 64-27 margin, which included 25 offensive rebounds. Junior Timaris Brown grabbed 10 boards in his Jaguar debut and Jarvis Walker closed with 13 points.

The Jaguars scored the game's first eight points and never trailed on way to a 48-21 halftime lead. Offensively, the Jaguars connected on 12-of-31 (37.8 percent) from three-point range with seven different players connecting on at least one trey. Sophomore Nathan Dudukovich hit three treys off the bench as part of his 11-point game and graduate transfer Paul Zilinskas made a pair, the first of which pushed him over 1,000 points in his collegiate career.

Sophomore Ebenezer Ogoh pushed the Jaguars to the century mark for the first time since 2018 with a two-handed dunk with nearly two minutes remaining.

Friday's game at Xavier marks the first of two matchups with major conference opponents for the Jaguars this season as the Jaguars will travel to Iowa State on Nov. 18.
