INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's cross country team has released its 2023 schedule, including six total meets and a home meet in Shelbyville, Ind., on Sept. 15. Head coach
Antonio McDaniel's team finished fourth at the Horizon League Championships a season ago, but returns a strong nucleus for the upcoming season.
The Jaguars will kickoff the season with a look at the site of the 2023 #HLXC Championships at the Mike Baumer XC Classic on Sept. 1 in Fairborn, Ohio. The Jags will then host a meet at Blue River Cross Country Course on Sept. 15 in Shelbyville, Ind., before capping the month at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational on Sept. 29. IUPUI will close the regular season with an entry at the annual Bradley 'Pink' Classic on Oct. 13.
The Jaguars will run the Horizon League Championships on Oct. 28 and the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Madison, Wisc., on Nov. 10.
The roster is keyed by reigning first team all-league performer
Ellie Cates and second team honoree
Madison Fry. Other key contributors from a season ago include
Hannah Sale,
Laci Provenzano and
Julie Smith, all of whom ran among IUPUI's top five at last year's Horizon League Championships.
