HOMEWOOD, Ill. – The IUPUI men's tennis team fell in the final match of the 2023 season to Chicago State on Saturday afternoon, 4-3. Colton Morehart, Kaml Kozerski and Noah Viste each earned singles points in the loss.
 
Chicago State took the early lead with the doubles point. After Chicago State took the number one doubles match, Kamil Kozerski and Will Thurin tied things up with a 6-3 win at number three doubles. The Cougars took the number two doubles match to win the doubles point.
 
Down 1-0, the Jags fought hard in singles play winning three matches but couldn't pull out a fourth falling, 4-3. Morehart won in the number three singles spot, 7-5, 6-3 while Viste earned the second point for the Jags in the number five spot, 7-6, 6-3. Kozerski won in the number four singles spot in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-0.
 
Tom Ciszewski lost at number one singles, 6-4, 6-4 while Alex Jochim lost at number two singles, 7-6, 7-5. Will Thurin rounded out the lineup in the sixth spot falling in three sets, 6-0, 2-6, 6-3.
 
The Jags finished the season with a 6-20 overall record and 2-6 Horizon League record.
