Head coach
Matt Crenshaw's squad will have a decidedly new look this season as he and his staff inked 10 new scholarship student-athletes, six of whom are transfers. The primary holdovers from last year's squad are graduate big man
Jonah Carrasco (4.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg) and sophomore guard
Boston Stanton III (4.7 ppg, 2.1 rpg) and a pair of Division I transfers,
Bryce Monroe (San Diego) and
Chris Osten (Northern Illinois) will be among those counted on heavily this season. Monroe averaged 6.3 points per game and made 13 starts at San Diego last season while Osten, a 6-foot-9 forward, made six starts two years ago while playing at Arizona State.
Another transfer,
John Egbuta, made waves earlier this summer by winning the Slam Dunk Contest at Kyle Guy's Dizzy Runs Pro-Am and later tallying the winning basket in the tournament championship game.
Crenshaw also made inroads on local recruiting fronts, inking three Indianapolis products in freshman guards
Vincent Brady II,
Amhad Jarrard and
Armon Jarrard.
Tip times, promotions and broadcast information for this year's schedule will be announced at a later date.
