The Golden Grizzlies started out on top after earning the doubles point. Since the Jags are still playing with only five athletes, they had to forfeit No. 3 doubles.
Christina Stankovic and
Sarah Lounsbury fell at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, which sealed the doubles point for Oakland.
The Jags lost 5-1 in the singles competition to the Grizzlies. Bernard defeated Nirva Patel at No. 2 singles in two sets, 6-2, 6-3, to earn the lone point for the Jags.
At No. 1 singles,
Christina Stankovic was down 3-0 in the first set when she retired.
Sarah Lounsbury fell at No. 3 singles in three sets, 7-6, 6-1, 2-0.
Samantha Hayward also lost in three sets but at the No. 4 spot, 4-6, 6-3, 10-2.
Marta Krakowski fell in the No. 5 spot (6-4, 6-2) and the Jags forfeited the No. 6 singles match.
The lady Jags are now 2-18 and 0-5 in conference play. IUPUI will next face UIndy on April 22 at 3:00 PM.
