SWIM AND DIVE FINISHES WEEK WITH WINS AT GREEN BAY AND MILWAUKEE

The Jags recorded five pool records at Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The IUPUI swim and dive team returns home after wins over Green Bay and Milwaukee. The men's team defeated Green Bay on Thursday 171-71 and took down Milwaukee 213-87. The women's team defeated Green Bay 166-74 but fell to Milwaukee in a close dual 153-147. IUPUI set five new pool records at Milwaukee.
 
On the women's side at Milwaukee, Emmaleigh Zietlow set a new pool record in the 1000 free with a time of 10:09.15. Zietlow also won the 200 free (1:53.11), 500 free (5:01.88) and was a part of the 200 free relay with Lilly Brandt, Avery Brooks and Priscilla Zavala (1:37.82). Emma Theobald set a new pool record in the 200 back with a time of 2:01.94. She also won the 100 back with a time of 58.05 and the 100 IM (58.68). At Green Bay, freshman Lylah Hutson won the 1000 free with a time of 10:49.92, Avery Brooks won the 50 free (24.94).
 
The men's team set three new pool records at Milwaukee with two of those coming from Logan Kelly. Kelly won the 100 breast with a new pool record time of 55.27 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:02.80. Spencer Jyawook set the other pool record in the 100 fly with a time of 48.78. he also won the 50 free with a time of 20.92. Other top performers at Milwaukee were Dane Charleston winning both the 100 back (50.98) and the 200 back (1:50.55)
 
On the boards, Sebastian Otero swept the men's competition at both Green Bay and Milwaukee. At Green Bay he won the 3-meter with a score of 337.73 and the 1-meter with a score of 338.93. At Milwaukee, he swept the competition with a score of 325.05 in the 3-meter and 338.25 in the 1-meter. Isabella Smith won both the women's events at Green Bay with a score of 256.05 in the 1-meter and 259.88 in the 3-meter.
 
The Jags return to the IUPUI Natatorium on November 11 for a dual meet with Ball State at 4 PM.
