IUPUI CONTINUES HOT STREAK WITH WIN OVER ROBERT MORRIS

Macee Williams led the team with 18 points and 13 rebounds

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Jags earned their fourth straight Horizon League win after defeating Robert Morris on the road on Friday night, 63-44. After missing two games, graduate student Macee Williams led the team with 18 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. Rachel McLimore followed with 16 points and five rebounds while Rachel Kent added nine points and two rebounds.

"It was great to have Macee back out there tonight. Clearly, we are a different team when she is out there," said head coach Austin Parkinson. "I thought Rachel McLimore did an outstanding job attacking the rim in the second half."

IUPUI took the lead early and never let up, taking their largest lead of 21 points towards the end of the fourth quarter. The Jags held pressure towards the Colonials the entire game forcing 16 turnovers and holding RMU to just 9.1 percent (1-for-11) from behind the arc.

"We defended really well tonight, but we have to do a better job taking care of the ball on the offense," said Parkinson.

Starters, McLimore, Kent, Madison Wise (7 points, 9 rebounds), Natalie Andersen (2) and Morgan Allen (2 rebounds) started the game off strong for the Jags as Williams was the key sixth player in tonight's matchup. Anna Mortag came off the bench and scored seven points while Logan Lewis and Jacquel Bronaugh each added two points. IUPUI shot 46.0 percent (23-for-50) from the floor and 38.5 percent (5-for-13) from the three-point line.

IUPUI will travel to Youngstown, Ohio to take on another Horizon League conference foe Youngstown on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 1:00 PM ET. Game coverage with be on ESPN+.
