MUNCIE, Ind. – IUPUI women's tennis fell to a red hot Ball State team 7-0 on Saturday (March 6) as the Jags had their last tune up before Horizon League play begins.
Krystal Grubb and
Gabrielle Ochalik played the closest doubles match, falling 6-4 in the No. 1 match. Ball State closed out the doubles point with 6-1 wins in both the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles match.
In singles play, the Jags lost three matches (No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4) by equal 6-1, 6-1 scores. The No. 3 singles match was a 6-0, 6-0 loss for IUPUI.
Samantha Hayward fell 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 5 match and
Ines Rivera lost 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 6 match.
IUPUI will begin Horizon League play with matches against Northern Kentucky on Saturday (March 13) and Sunday (March 14).
