INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis kicked off its season with a 1-6 loss at UIndy on Friday (Feb. 5).
Sarah Lounsbury earned the point for the Jags with a singles win.
Lounsbury earned IUPUI's point after dropping her first set in the No. 4 singles match. She came back with a 6-3 win in the second set to force a third set. A 10-8 win in the deciding set earned the point for IUPUI.
The Jags dropped the No. 2 and No. 3 matches in doubles play by scores of 6-1 and the duo of
Gabrielle Ochalik and
Krystal Grubb fell in the No. 1 match 6-3.
IUPUI and UIndy will play again on Saturday, Feb. 6 with the match starting at 6:30 p.m.
