INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's basketball team will finish off 2021 and begin the new year with two Horizon League contests when they face conference foes Northern Kentucky and Wright State. The Jags host the NKU Norse on Friday (Dec. 31) with tip off at 2:00 p.m., then take on the Wright State Raiders on Sunday (Jan. 2) at 3:00 p.m.

Rachel McLimore with three seconds left in the fourth quarter. The win marks the first time the women's IUPUI basketball team has beaten a nationally ranked team in school history and marks the first win over a BIG Ten school since the Jags beat Purdue, 67-62, on Dec. 21, 2016. Graduate student
Macee Williams led the Jags with 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists. While McLimore, who was named #HLWBB Player of the Week for her efforts in the upset win, added 19 points and two rebounds.

Austin Parkinson's team was voted atop the Horizon League Women's Basketball Preseason Polls and has started the season 2-2 in conference play after having to forfeit two games due to Covid-19 issues.

The Jags with face the Norse for their last game of 2021. NKU enters the games 8-3 and 2-2 (HL) after defeating Wofford, 84-64 on Dec. 20. The Norse are on a four-game winning streak and are led by red-shirt senior Lindsey Duvall. She holds a streak of scoring in double-figures with 30 straight games. Â She averages 19.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Graduate student Grayson Rose averages 9.5 rebounds per game for the Norse.

Wright State is 1-7 and 0-4 in conference play. The Raiders are coming off a 91-60 win over Lake Erie. Destyne Jackson leads the team in points per game with 14.0 and added a career-high 18 points in the game against Lake Erie. Jada Roberson leads the Raiders in steals per game with 2.5, which ranks second in the Horizon League.
Friday's game against NKU will be aired on ESPN+ with tip off at 2 p.m. and Sunday's game vs. Wright State will also be aired on ESPN+ at 3 p.m.
