INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis ended up on the wrong end of two matches over the weekend. The Jags lost the first match of the weekend to Austin Peay before falling to Northern Illinois is a close matchup on Saturday (Feb. 29).

NORTHERN ILLINOIS 6, IUPUI 1
The Jags battled but came up short against Northern Illinois in a match that saw a lot of close matches.
 
The Huskies took the doubles point winning all three matches. In singles play, IUPUI's lone win came from Krystal Grubb, who earned a three set win 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in her No. 2 match. Though they dropped the other five singles matchups, two Jags did force three set matches.
 
At No. 4, Samantha Hayward took the first set 6-2, before falling 7-5 in the second and 6-4 in the third. Ines Rivera also won her first set 6-2 in the No. 6 match but lost 6-3, 6-4 in the next two sets to drop the match.

AUSTIN PEAY 7, IUPUI 0
In the first match of the weekend, IUPUI fell 7-0 to Austin Peay. IUPUI dropped the doubles points with 6-1 and 6-2 losses. Gabrielle Ochalik and Krystal Grubb had their match at No. 1 go unfinished with the duo ahead 5-3.

In singles play, Grubb fell 7-5, 6-4 in one of the closer matches for a Jaguar, and Ochalik was the other Jaguar to earn three points in a set, falling 6-3, 6-3 in her No. 1 match.
