WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TRAVELS TO WRIGHT STATE TO TAKE ON THE RAIDERS

IUPUI will look to take its win streak to 13 with a contest against Wright State on Thursday (Feb. 13).

DAYTON, Ohio – IUPUI women's basketball heads on the road for the final time this weekend, beginning with a road trip to Wright State on Thursday (Feb. 13). The game against the Raiders will air on ESPN3 and will tip off at 7 p.m.

The Jags currently sit three games ahead of the Raiders for the top spot in the Horizon League standings, thanks to a current 12-game win streak. Since dropping the opening game of the league schedule to Youngstown State, IUPUI has not dropped a contest and have won every game by at least eight points with all but one being won by double digits.

Streak Hits 12 as Jags Blow By Oakland
  • Macee Williams led the team with 31 points on 15-for-19 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds.
  • Rachel McLimore added 13 points for the Jaguars.
  • Katelyn O'Reilly tied her career-high with 13 rebounds.
  • The Jags outscored Oakland 56-26 in the paint and 21-2 in second chance points.
FIRST MEETING AGAINST WRIGHT STATE (80-60 WIN)
  • Macee Williams scored 32 points on 12-for-19 shooting at 8-for-11 at the line. Williams also pulled down seven rebounds.
  • Katelyn O'Reilly had one of her best games of the season, scoring 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting and pulled down nine rebounds.
  • The Jags dominated the Raiders inside, outscoring Wright State 46-24 in the paint.
  • It was IUPUI's fifth-straight win of at least 20 points.
MACEE WILLIAMS HONORED AGAIN
  • Macee Williams was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the fifth time this season after averaging 27 points and 9.5 rebounds as IUPUI beat Detroit Mercy and Oakland.
  • Williams' five Horizon League Player of the Week awards is the most of any player this season and the most of any player in a season in school history.
  • Williams has won eight Player of the Week awards, tied with Jernisha Cann for the most by any player in IUPUI history.
NUMBERS DURING THE STREAK
  • IUPUI won its 12th-straight game with a 26-point win over Oakland on Saturday (Feb. 8).
  • The Jags are outscoring opponents 78.4 to 53.1 during the win streak.
  • Offense has not been a problem for the Jags as IUPUI has scored at least 75 points in all but two of the wins. IUPUI has also shot over 50% from the field in eight of the 12 games, including five of the last six and the last three.
  • Over the last 12 games, IUPUI has hit 101 threes, including at least six in all but one and double-figure threes in four of them. IUPUI's opponents have only hit 43 and the Jags hold a 39.6% to 25% advantage from behind the arc.
  • The Jags are taking care of the ball and distributing it really well during the streak, averaging 19.5 assists per game to just 12.3 turnovers per game. The Jags have 234 assists during the streak, including 20+ assists in seven of the 12 games and the last three.
  • In six of the 12 games during the streak, IUPUI has never trailed. The largest deficit the Jags have faced is five points.
MACEE CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Macee Williams became the 26th player in IUPUI history to score 1,000-career points in a Jaguar uniform with her first basket against St. John's on Nov. 30. Williams is now climbing that charts for IUPUI.

Hoopingarner Heading Toward 1,000
Holly Hoopingarner sits 39 points away from joining the 1,000-career point club at IUPUI. The senior would be the second player to score her 1,000 point this season as Macee Williams accomplished the feat earlier in the season.
 
HITTING 70
  • IUPUI has won 22 of its last 23 games, and ten-straight, when scoring at least 70 points.
  • IUPUI only has one regulation loss when scoring at least 70 points since Dec. 20, 2017. That loss came against Youngstown State (73-75). IUPUI has two overtime losses during that span.
  • IUPUI's longest winning-streak when scoring at least 70 points came from Nov. 9, 2013 to Feb. 8, 2014 when IUPUI won 15-straight games when reaching the point mark.
