PEORIA, Ill. - All five Bradley starters scored in double-figures as the host Braves rolled past the IUPUI basketball team on Saturday night (Nov. 9), 90-56, inside Carver Arena. Elijah Childs led the way with 23 points and 15 rebounds while point guard Darrell Brown closed with 14 points and 10 assists.

Jaylen Minnett closed with a team-high 17 points, including hitting 5-of-8 from deep, and
Marcus Burk finished with 15 points.
IUPUI (0-2) went the opening seven minutes without a bucket as Bradley built a 16-0 lead to start the game. The Jags got back within nine at 24-15 after Minnett stroked consecutive threes, but the Braves retaliated with a 19-3 run to build a 43-18 advantage late in the half.
The Braves led 47-23 at the break and outscored IUPUI 15-2 in points off turnovers, taking full advantage of the Jaguars' 10 first half miscues.
IUPUI never seriously threatened in the second half, despite improved shooting from the field and behind the arc. The Jags finished at 35 percent overall and 7-of-24 (29.2 percent) from three-point range. The Braves shot an efficient 47.8 percent from the field and outrebounded IUPUI 46-30, leading to an 18-5 advantage in second chance points.
Isaiah Williams just missed finishing in double-digits with nine points and five rebounds and junior
Elyjah Goss closed with four points and a team-high eight boards in just 23 minutes.
Jamil Jackson Jr. made his IUPUI debut and closed with six points off the bench and
Grant Weatherford delivered a team-high four assists.
The loss dropped IUPUI to 3-4 all-time against Bradley and 1-3 in the games played in Peoria.
IUPUI will host Anderson University in its 2019-2020 home opener on Monday night (Nov. 11) at 7:00 p.m. inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum. As part of Military Appreciation Night, Holy Angels Catholic School will sign the national anthem while the pregame colors will be presented by members of the IUPUI ROTC. In addition, there will be an ROTC swearing in ceremony at halftime of the game.
