INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI basketball program and head coach Byron Rimm II announced the signing of Texas-native Sadaidriene 'DayDay' Hall on National Signing Day on Wednesday (Nov. 13). The highly touted 6-foot-6, 200-pound forward comes to IUPUI from Sulphur Springs (Texas) High School, where he earned second team all-state and first team all-district and all-region honors last season.

"DayDay is a very high motor athlete that I believe Jag Nation will embrace," Rimm II said. "He's one of the most intense high school players I've seen in a very long time. He's an all around proven winner."

Hall averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds for head coach Clark Cipoletta's Sulphur Springs program, while shooting nearly 65 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line. He helped lead Sulphur Springs to a 29-9 record, a second straight district title and the first-ever state tournament appearance in school history. As a sophomore, he was part of a team that went 31-6 on the season and captured a district title. He's currently ranked No. 32 in the 2020 class in the state of Texas according to TexasBoysBasketball.com and has posted career-high games of 38 points and 22 rebounds. He's rated No. 35 in the state of Texas by Rivals.com after climbing more than 70 spots after his play last summer.

On the summer circuit, he was named to the Second Team All-UA Rise Team after averaging 17.5 points per game and 63.3 percent from the floor. He helped Dallas Showtyme finish atop the UA Rise 17U division with a 9-1 record. He was also named a First Team Prep Hoops Regional All-American and a Second Team Prep Hoops All-American after helping Showtyme to a 15-2 mark on the Prep Hoops Circuit.

Academically, Hall earned academic all-district honors and has maintained a 3.5 grade point average.

He becomes the program's first signee under Coach Rimm II and will join the program as a true freshman in 2020.
