IUPUI HAS A SUCCESSFUL NIGHT AGAINST CLEVELAND STATE AND UIC

The Jags won three of the four dual meets in the pool against two Horizon League foes.

INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI swimming and diving took three of four meets against Cleveland State and UIC with the women sweeping the two meets and the men beating Cleveland State.
IUPUI's women beat Cleveland State 192-73 and UIC 173-91 while the men earned a 137-127 win over the Vikings but fell to the Flames 114-150.

The Jaguars finished the night with 12 total event wins including two from senior Ben Levart. Levart has been dominant this season and continued his strong performance beginning with a win in the men's 200 free with a time of 1:41.14 and later in the night, took home the men's 500 touching the wall in 4:26.07.

Mason Jung and Jackson Sandala won the freestyle sprints with Jung taking the 50 free (21.01) and Sandala winning the 100 free (45.92).

The women's side had four different individual winners in the pool with Tori Kroon taking the 50 free (23.90), Mallory Buha winning the 100 back (57.34), Meagan Ronci topping the 500 free (5:05.26) and Aubrey Wing finishing first in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.29). Rylee Dahlman also earned a win in the women's 1-meter springboard with 272.40 points.

IUPUI also earned three relay wins, beginning the night with a win in the women's 200 medley relay with a time of 1:45.32 and the Jags finished the night with wins in both the men's and women's 400 freestyle relay with times of 3:07.35 and 3:29.82, respectively.

The Jags will have another meet against Cleveland State and UIC on Saturday (Jan. 12) at 11:30 a.m. The meet will be the final home meet for IUPUI and the Jags will honor their seniors before the meet starts.
