GREEN BAY, Wisc. - After playing nearly the full 110 minutes, the IUPUI men's soccer team was dealt a road heartbreaker on Saturday night (Sept. 22), falling on a penalty kick in the second overtime at Green Bay. Green Bay's Tomer Zloczower converted the PK for his fourth score of the year, denying freshman goalkeeper Quinn McCallion his third shutout of the season and the Jaguars' a much deserved point in the Horizon League standings.

Zloczower blasted the winner past McCallion, prompting the Jaguars' netminder to kick the post while other defenders simply hit the ground in disbelief.

The loss extended IUPUI's losing skid to three-in-a-row, all coming via shutout. After playing the Phoenix even through regulation, the Jaguars (1-5-2, 1-2 HL) was a little more offensive minded in overtime. After being outshot 13-4 in regulation, IUPUI outshot the hosts in the two extra periods, 4-3.

In the first overtime, Fernando Borges had an initial strike blocked in the 96th minute and junior midfielder Alan Aguilar had the rebound attempt go right of frame. Late in the first overtime, Pedro Valladao also had an attempt fly right of target.

In the second overtime, freshman Corey Goede had an attempt before Green Bay increased their offensive intensity. Ultimately, Green Bay was awarded the PK with just 67 seconds left in the contest.

McCallion closed with six saves while Green Bay's Nikola Kahvedzic needed just one save in the win. He stopped a Tommy Patacca attempt in the 54th minute for his lone stop of the contest.

Patacca led the IUPUI attack with three shot attempts while Valladao had two tries.

IUPUI will be back in action on Wednesday night (Sept. 26) when the Jaguars face Cincinnati in non-conference play at 7:00 p.m.
