INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's basketball faces its first test of the season as the Jaguars head to Oxford, Miss., to take on the Ole Miss Rebels on Friday (Nov. 9) at 8 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed on SECN+.
The Jaguars (1-0) opened up the season with a big 101-40 win over Purdue Northwest last Tuesday (Nov. 6). Six Jaguars scored in double-figures in the win, led by
Katelyn O'Reilly, who scored 22 on 8-for-9 shooting. O'Reilly, who sat out last season after transferring from Florida Atlantic, scored the most points in a debut for IUPUI since assistant coach DeAirra Goss scored 24 in 2012.
IUPUI hit 15 threes in the win, one shy of the school record that was set in 2016. The 15 threes are the second-most threes hit by a team in country through the first two days of play.
Austin Parkinson's squad makes its first trip to Ole Miss in school history and is playing against an SEC opponent for the first time since the Jaguars beat Missouri in 2016. Overall IUPUI 1-8 against SEC schools but the lone game against and SEC opponent under Parkinson was the win over the Tigers.

"The first road trip of the year is exciting because you know you will face some adversity and find out how you handle it," said Parkinson. "It will be a fun challenge to go and play an SEC school this early in the season."

SCOUTING OLE MISS
The Rebels won their first game of the season 60-42 over Norfolk State. Ole Miss shot just 39% from the field in the win and only hit 2-of-13 three point shots. Crystal Allen led all scorers with 16 points, hitting 7-for-9 free throws and Jhileiya Dunlap pulled own a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Of the 60 points scored, 55 came from newcomers to the Rebels roster.
The game against the Jaguars with be the eighth game for Ole Miss against the Horizon League. Ole Miss is 5-2 against the league with wins against UIC, Cleveland State, Milwaukee and Wright State.
