SWIMMING AND DIVING TAKES ON MILWAUKEE ON FRIDAY

The Jaguars will get their first taste of Horizon League competition against the Panthers.

INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI swimming and diving will get its first look at a Horizon League foe on Friday (Oct. 26) when the Jags host Milwaukee at the Natatorium at 3 p.m.

IUPUI had a successful past weekend with both teams sweeping their meet on Saturday (Oct. 20) against Western Illinois, Butler and Olivet Nazarene.

Senior Krisztian Somhegyi has won five of his six events this season and his score of 353.48 in the 3-meter event against the University of Indianapolis is the top score in the Horizon League this season. Mitch Mastey and Patrick Tener's top scores this year in the 3-meter are third and fourth in the league, respectively. Somhegyi also has the second best score (314.78) in the 1-meter in the Horizon.

In the pool for the men, Jackson Sandala owns the top times in the Horizon in the 100 Free (45.56) and the 200 Free (141.04), with both times coming against UIndy. Senior Ben Levart's times in the 500 Free (4:37.62) and 1000 Free (9:31.93) are also both top marks in the league. In the 400 IM and the 200 IM, John Ragsdell sits first (4:04.37) and second (1:54.56), respectively.

Tori Kroon's win in the 50 Free over Cincinnati is the top time in the Horizon at 23.75. The Jags also own the distance freestyle races with the second and third fastest times in the 500 Free and the second, third and fourth fastest times in the 1000 Free. Aubrey Wing's time of 1:06.39 in the 100 Breaststroke is second only to Milwaukee's Jenn Kordik. Wing is also second in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:22.84.

Rylee Dahlman currently sits in second in the league in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, while teammate Blaire Wills sits third in both events. Carolyn Dietz is third in the 3-meter.
