JAGUARS TRAVEL TO CLEVELAND STATE FOR TWO MEETS

IUPUI gets a first hand look at the site of the Horizon League Championships at Cleveland State this weekend.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The IUPUI swimming and diving teams will get a look at the home of the 2018 Horizon League Championships as they head to Cleveland State for the weekend.

The Jags will take part in two different meets at Cleveland State, with Friday's (Jan. 12) meet featuring Cleveland State and UIC and Saturday's (Jan. 13) meet including Wright State. Both meets will be scored as individual dual meets between the competing teams.

IUPUI began the second half of its season with a meet against Xavier, Ball State and the University of Indianapolis. The men's team earned wins against Xavier and Ball State and the women's team beat Ball State.

Seven Jags earned first-place finishes the last time out, including #Ben Levart# who took home two, winning the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,000-yard freestyle. #Jackson Sandala# won the men's 200-yard freestyle, #Mark Auger# won the 200-yard butterfly and #Jonathan Stoller# won the 200-yard breaststroke. The Jags also swept the men's diving competitions with #Mitch Mastey# winning the 1-meter and #Krisztian Somhegyi# winning the 3-meter.

For the women, #Olivia Treski# won the 1,000-yard freestyle and #Rylee Dahlman# took home the top spot in the 3-meter event.

After the weekend, IUPUI will be back home for meets on the Jan. 19 and Jan. 20 in the final two home meets of the season.
