INDIANAPOLIS – Swimming in front of the home fans for the final time in the regular-season, the IUPUI women's swimming and diving seniors managed to come away with a win on Senior Night as the Jaguars defeated Green Bay 161.50 to 138.50 Thursday evening at the IUPUI Natatorium.

Alexus Laird, Jennifer Oleksiak and Natalie Trout - three of IUPUI's six seniors – claimed victories on the night, while Madison Taylor and Alexis Bullard matched Laird and Oleksiak with two wins apiece.

"I am incredibly proud of our team and what a great way to send our seniors out in their last home duel meet," head coach Matt Bos said. "Our senior group was the spark that has turned this program around and they should all be proud of everything they have accomplished as individuals and the impact they have made here at IUPUI."

Prior to the start of the meet, Laird, Oleksiak, Trout, Jessica Collins, Kirsten Sidebottom and Margaret Barber were honored as part of Senior Night for their contributions to the program.

The meet couldn't have started better for the Jags as the quartet of Laird, Oleksiak, Bullard and Maranda Buha claimed nearly a second and a half win in the 200 medley relay.

Barber then put together a strong performance in the 1,000 free completing the 40 lengths in 10:30.49 to finish second. The time was the third-best of Barber's career in the event and the fourth-fastest mark in program history.

Two events later, Laird hit the winner's circle in the 100 back with her time of 58.22 earning her the win by .52 seconds.

Oleksiak followed with a win in the 100 breast at 1:05.21, before Bullard clocked a 2:06.76 to win the 200 fly, placing her third in the IUPUI record books in the event.

Taylor then won back-to-back events winning the 50 free and the 100 free with a break sandwiched in between the events, before Laird joined Taylor with multiple wins by winning the 200 back.

Oleksiak's 2:23.63 in the 200 breast secured her second win of the day, preceding Bullard's second and final win of the day in the 100 fly in 57.60.

In the final swimming event of the day, Trout secured the win in the 400 IM in impressive fashion winning the event by nearly five seconds before the 200 free relay finished the day by winning the event in 1:37.28.

Up next for the Jags is a trip to Muncie, Ind., on Jan. 23, where they will take on Ball State and Milwaukee. The meet is set to start at 5 p.m.
