INDIANAPOLIS – Thursday evening will be the final regular-season home meet for the IUPUI swimming and diving teams prior to hosting the Summit League Championships when the Jaguars welcome Wisconsin-Green Bay to the IUPUI Natatorium for a 7 p.m. start.
The start time was originally scheduled for 5 p.m., but it has been shifted to 7 p.m. Approximately 15 minutes prior to 7 p.m., IUPUI will honor its men's and women's swimmers and divers who will be competing in front of the home fans for the final time in the regular-season.
In total, there are 12 swimmers and divers who will be honored. The six women's swimmers and divers are
Margaret Barber,
Jessica Collins,
Alexus Laird, Jenny Oleksiak,
Kirsten Sidebottom and
Natalie Trout. The six men's swimmers and divers are
Tony Carroll,
Adam Ferguson,
Mason Hamilton,
Alex Olson,
Alexander Rhoda and
Cody Watts.
"This is a special group of athletes that have made tremendous strides throughout their careers," head coach
Matt Bos said. "These kids have been in a lot of work to change our program and I couldn't be prouder of how they have represented themselves and IUPUI."
This will be the second time the Jaguars and Phoenix have met this season after Green Bay came down to Indianapolis for the House of Champions meet in November. At the House of Champions meet, Green Bay's men team finished first out of 10 teams followed by IUPUI, while the Jags took the top spot on the women's side finishing two spots ahead of UWGB.
