HOUSTON - The IUPUI men's soccer team will head to the Lone Star State to take on Houston Baptist University (0-0-2) at Sorrels Field on Saturday night (Sept. 13). Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Eastern and live stats will be available shortly after the start of the match.

IUPUI (0-3) is seeking its first win of the 2014 campaign after dropping a 3-2 decision at Wright State last weekend. The Jaguars built a pair of one-goal leads, but saw WSU score twice unanswered to capture the win.

Freshmen Uriel Macias and Emmanuel Usen scored their first career goals in the loss while Jonathan Kopp, Ryan Olans and Cristian Soto provided assists on the scores. Sophomore goalie Christian Lomeli was saddled with the loss, making three saves in 90 minutes work.

After going 2-0-1 in the preseason, HBU has played Drake and Oral Roberts to draws to start the season. Patrick Toh and Tobenna Uzo have accounted for all of the team's offense as Toh has two goals and an assist and Uzo has a goal and two assists. Kevin Suarez has a 1.23 goals against average and 15 saves in his two starts in net.

Saturday's match will be a homecoming for a number of Jaguars, as three IUPUI players prepped at Texas high schools. Joshua Ayala (Cypress) and Usen (Katy) are from suburban Houston while junior goalie Eduardo Cortes prepped 250 miles north in Dallas, Texas.

Houston Baptist won the first-ever meeting between the two schools, 2-1 at IUPUI's Carroll Stadium on Sept. 11. The Jaguars trailed 2-0 in that match before Michael Sass scored off an Evan Smith assist in the 78th minute. However, the Huskies staved off a late rally to depart victorious.
