TULSA, Okla. - Riding a two-game winning streak, the IUPUI men's soccer team will head west to take on Oral Roberts (4-6-2, 0-2-1 Summit) on Saturday night (Oct. 18) at Case Soccer Complex. Saturday's match is scheduled to kickoff at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

The Jaguars (4-6-1, 1-1 Summit) are coming off back-to-back wins over Eastern Illinois and Cincinnati in double overtime on Wednesday night (Oct. 15). Freshman Uriel Macias netted his team-high sixth goal of the season and third game-winner in the 107th minute, scoring on the back post off an assist from Cristian Soto. Freshman Jonathan Kopp helped set up the play, tapping a pass back to Soto that led to the decisive goal. IUPUI broke open the scoring midway through the first half on Soto's first score of the year and needed a Lance Davis penalty kick late in regulation to force overtime.

Junior goalie Eduardo Cortes earned his third win of the season, registering a season-high 10 saves in the victory. He was aided by a Clint Hoffar team save in the 106th minute of Wednesday's win as a UC attacker had a header aimed for victory before the junior defender cleared the shot off the line at the last second.

Macias has now scored three goals in IUPUI's last two games and leads The Summit with six scores and 12 points. His three game-winners are also tied for tops in the league.

Scouting the Golden Eagles
ORU is 4-6-2 overall on the season at 0-2-1 to start Summit League play. However, the Golden Eagles have been stout at home, going 3-1-1 overall, including a pair of double overtime victories. Johnny Chavez leads a balanced attack with four goals and an assist and Matthew Rogers has three goals and two assists. Both Juan Diego Padilla and Gerardo Salas both have two goals on the year.  Ben LaCourse has played the bulk of the minutes in goal, registering a 1.88 goals against average and 59 saves in 12 games.

The Golden Eagles opened Summit League play with a 4-0 loss to Denver (Sept. 27) before playing Omaha to a scoreless draw in Tulsa (Oct. 4). Fort Wayne recently defeated ORU 1-0 in Fort Wayne and the Golden Eagles most recent result was a 3-0 loss to Memphis on Wednesday of this week.

Inside the Series
IUPUI is 10-8-1 all-time against Oral Roberts in a series that dates back to October 1998 as league foes. The two schools played to a 1-1 tie in Indianapolis last season as Patrick Henry scored the Jaguars' lone goal. The Jaguars are 5-4 against ORU in the nine meetings in Tulsa, including winning 2-0 on Oct. 13, 2012. IUPUI's two goals in that contest came in an 11-second span in the first half, driving the Jaguars' victory.
