INDIANAPOLIS – This Saturday, the IUPUI men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete against a familiar foe in its final preparations before the Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships when IUPUI hosts Oakland at the IUPUI Natatorium.
The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., and with it being IUPUI's final meet before the league championships, the Jags lone seniors -
Alvina Brown and
Andrew Saunders - will be recognized approximately 10 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
The Jaguars will take on Oakland following a much needed week away from competition following a grueling road trip to the state of Wisconsin where they fell to both Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Despite both the men's and teams suffering defeats at the hands of the Panthers and the Phoenix, the Jags know that Saturday's meet against Oakland will be a great measuring stick to see where they are with fewer than three weeks until the conference championships.
"We have a great opportunity on Saturday to get out there and compete against a great program," head coach
Matt Bos said. "Oakland was at the top of the Summit League for many years and we will have to put forth our best effort on Saturday if we want to continue towards our goal of winning a Summit League Championship."
Live results for Saturday's meet will be available on IUPUIJags.com.
