IUPUI (5-18, 0-6) is coming off a 69-54 loss to Western Illinois on Thursday night, despite a game-high 18-point effort from senior guard Ja'Rob McCallum. The Jaguars led the majority of the first half and trailed just 23-21 at the break before WIU got hot in the second half. After hitting just nine first half field goals, Western only missed nine second half field goal attempts and racked up 46 points in the final 20 minutes of the win. Junior
Khufu Najee hit 7-of-9 shots and closed with 14 points, while
Mitch Patton added 10 points and two blocked shots.

Ian Chiles out of the lineup, McCallum has averaged 18 points per game in two outings and Najee has scored 17 points per game in his absence. Najee has hit 59.3 percent from the floor in the last two games and upped his scoring average to 10.0 points per contest. Chiles remains third in The Summit in scoring at 15.9 points per game, while Patton is 15th at 12.4 per contest.
Patton's two blocked shots on Thursday pushed his career total to 74, putting him seventh on IUPUI's all-time list.
Omaha boasts The Summit League's top scoring offense, averaging 81 points per game this season. The Mavericks balanced attack has four players averaging double-digits with John Karhoff (13.9 ppg) and CJ Carter (13.7 ppg) leading the way. Two other guards, Devin Patterson (10.9 ppg) and Justin Simmons (10.5 ppg), also rank among the league's top 20 scorers.
The Mavs dropped an 86-82 contest at Fort Wayne on Thursday, despite a game-high 28 points from Simmons. Omaha led by as many as 15 late in the first half, but ultimately squandered the lead in falling for the fourth time in six games in league play.
IUPUI is 0-2 all-time against Omaha, having been swept by the Mavs a season ago.
