BROOKINGS, S.D. - Host South Dakota State got a game-high 18 points from senior guard Nate Wolters and a 15-point, 14-rebound effort from junior forward Jordan Dykstra en route to an 82-45 victory over IUPUI inside Frost Arena in Summit League action on Thursday (Feb. 14) night. Junior Donovan Gibbs was the lone Jaguar to reach double-digits, scoring 16 points and grabbing six boards in the loss.

IUPUI (6-21, 1-12 Summit) fell for the 11th straight time while SDSU (20-7, 11-3 Summit) extended the nation's second-longest home winning streak to 29.

Chad White chipped in 14 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting for the Jackrabbits while the trio of Tony Fiegen, Brayden Carlson and Marcus Heemstra all finished with eight points.

IUPUI surged out to an early 10-8 lead behind Rice and Gibbs, but SDSU dominated the final 12-plus minutes of the first half and never let up. White hit a three, followed by a Dykstra 18-footer, prompting Howard to call the first of two first half timeouts. After Greg Rice pulled the Jags within one on a tough runner, SDSU reeled off 11 of the game's next 13 points. The lead ballooned as large as 21 late in the first half as the Jacks hit 7-of-14 first half treys. A Nick Kitcoff free throw in the final two seconds made it a 41-21 halftime score.

South Dakota State landed the knockout blow at the start of the second half, scoring the first seven points in quick fashion. Fiegen opened the scoring with a layup, followed by a Wolters three. On IUPUI's next possession, Wolters came up with a steal near midcourt and raced to the other end for an uncontested layup.

SDSU hit 53.8 percent overall, including 11-of-22 (50 percent) from three-point range. The Jacks also connected on 79 percent from the free throw line and outscored IUPUI 15-4 at the charity stripe.

IUPUI limped to a 35.8 percent shooting effort and was just 3-of-16 (18.8 percent) from three-point range. The Jaguars were also outrebounded 40-21 overall and 30-16 off the defensive glass.

Sophomore Lyonell Gaines contributed eight points and four rebounds in 20 minutes work off the bench as he and Gibbs teamed to hit 11-of-15 field goal attempts. The six other Jaguars hit just 8-of-38 (21.1 percent) field goal tries. Esposito finished with seven points, all in the second half, and Rice added six points and a team-high four assists.

For Gibbs, it was his sixth straight double-digit scoring effort as the 6-foot-7 Louisville-native is averaging 15.3 points and shooting 66 percent from the floor during that span.

The loss was IUPUI's sixth straight to South Dakota State and dropped the Jaguars to 6-7 all-time against the Jackrabbits
