INDIANAPOLIS - After back-to-back wins over top 60 RPI teams, the Jaguars will return to action on Tuesday (Dec. 10) night when they host Cincinnati Christian (6-3) inside The Jungle at 7:00 p.m.. Tuesday's game can be heard on WNDE 1260 AM or the free iHeartRadio app and viewed online as part of the IUPUI LIVE! subscription service as Will Flemming (pxp) will be on the call from courtside.

IUPUI students are admitted for free with a valid JagTag and adult reserved seats are just $10 for all IUPUI home games.

The Jaguars captured a 71-65 win over North Carolina Central inside the Jungle on Saturday, thanks to a career-high 17 points from sophomore point guard Marcellus Barksdale. The 6-foot-5 guard hit 4-of-8 shots and 9-of-11 free throws as the hosts did the bulk of their damage from the charity stripe in the second half. Despite hitting just seven second half field goals, IUPUI (3-7) cashed in on 24-of-31 (77.4 percent) attempts and closed the game outscoring the Eagles 26-12 at the charity stripe. IUPUI's proficiency behind the three-point line also contributed to the win as the Jaguars connected on 5-of-9 treys for a season-high 55.6 percent effort.

Senior #P.J. Hubert# was a perfect 4-of-4 overall and 3-of-3 from deep, scoring a season-high 14 off the bench in just 16 minutes work. Junior Ian Chiles also pumped in 14 and senior center Mitch Patton contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

IUPUI built a 14-point second half lead before having to fend off NCCU in the final minute. The lead was whittled down to one at 64-63 with 1:53 left, but Barksdale countered with a three-point play in transition on the next trip. The Jaguars closed the game by hitting 3-of-6 free throws and the Eagles missed three three-point attempts and a pair of free throws in the final 37 seconds.

NCCU (6-2) came in ranked No. 34 in the RPI and had road wins at NC State and Old Dominion already this season.

IUPUI is seeking its first three-game winning streak since February 2012 when the Jaguars won four straight and six of seven during a late-season surge in Head Coach Todd Howard's first season. The recent success has been directly tied to the Jaguars' defense and three-point shooting. Over the past two games, IUPUI opponents have hit just 31.6 percent overall and 16.7 percent from three-point range. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have hit 12-of-22 (54.5 percent) during that span.

Hubert has been especially hot of late, hitting his last five three-point attempts, dating back to the Nov. 28 game against Gardner-Webb. During that span, Hubert has seen his three-point percentage climb from under 12 percent to up to nearly 32 percent for the season. Chiles continues to lead the league in scoring (17.9 ppg) and Patton checks in at 11.8 points and 6.1 boards per game. Barksdale has been the team's do-it-all performer, averaging 5.7 points, 3.3 assists and a team-high 7.6 boards per game. He also leads the squad in blocked shots (18) and steals (13) from the lead guard position.

CCU is coming off an 86-72 home win over Cincinnati-Clermont on Dec. 3. The Eagles three losses have all come on the road at Olivet Nazarene, University of Indianapolis and Valparaiso. Mike Hill leads the squad in scoring (19.1 ppg) and free throws made (48), while also grabbing 4.7 rebounds a game. Center Kenny Gaynor paces the squad with 7.0 rebounds per game, while netting 15.0 points per game. Sophomore point guard DJ McCommons is the team's top assist man, having delivered 36 in the season's first nine games.

Tuesday's game marks the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
